Superintendent, Central Unified School District
Andrew Alvarado serves as the Superintendent of the Central Unified School District. He previously was appointed as Superintendent of Golden Valley Unified School District in Madera, California. Prior to being appointed as Superintendent of Golden Valley Unified, Mr. Alvarado served as the Assistant Superintendent for four years, and before that, was the principal of Liberty High School before his promotion to the Golden Valley District Office. As a first-generation college student, Alvarado understands the importance of education and the impact it can have on a person’s life. He earned his B.A. in Biological Science from Fresno State and his administrative credential from Fresno Pacific University.
